Just like all alcoholics, I have a lot of questions regarding on how I can easily quit drinking alcohol. I am confused and a little disoriented on how to really beat this kind of addiction. I’ve been searching over the internet for free e-books that will provide me easy ways to quit drinking alcohol. Website after website, I’ve seek for natural ways to really beat my alcohol addiction. Unfortunately, I have not yet encountered any sites or blogs that really give free tips and techniques regarding on how to quit drinking.
Everyday, I am struggling to cope with my alcohol withdrawal symptoms. I’ve decided to quit drinking four months ago and I am experiencing alcohol withdrawal symptoms just like other alcoholics do. Signs include delirium tremens or DTs, agitations, restlessness and feeling awkward. I am also experiencing alcohol cravings and the attacks usually occurs at night when I was about to sleep. It is very hard to quit drinking especially when you are hooked to alcohol addiction for a long period of time. I’ve been hooked to alcohol and I am drinking excessively for the past 17 years of my life. But now, I have decided to quit drinking. I have decided to seek for ways to beat alcoholism.
On my journey to quit drinking and to find solutions to the problem of drinking alcohol, I have come to the conclusion that it is not easy to quit drinking. Alcoholism is very difficult to deal with. Alcohol addiction is a kind of addiction that should be treated with proper treatment and approach. There are easy ways to quit drinking alcohol. But the problem, lies on the alcoholics himself. He is his own enemy. If he does not cooperate and admit he has a problem in drinking, he will not successfully beat alcohol addiction.
If you really want to quit drinking, admitting that you have a problem in drinking excessively is the first part of the procedure in quitting drinking on your own. You must whole-heartedly admit to your self that your drinking habit affects your health, physically and mentally. And if you want you quit drinking; you must confess to your self that alcoholism affects your family and your relationship with them. They are being hopeless and angry when they see you drunk and under the influence of alcohol. Alcohol addiction also affects your job, your daily life, your relationships with others like friends and relatives.
You must believe that quitting drinking alcohol will make your bonding to your family members more sincere and straight. When you quit drinking, you will gain their trust and love again. They will treat you just like they treated you when you are not hooked to alcohol addiction.
Moral support from family members especially those who are closed to you can bring a lot of help in overcoming your addiction. They will help you recover from the damages alcohol brought to your life. And much more, they will make you feel you are indeed a part of their lives. When you quit drinking, the family members will assist you and gives you full support which you need in order to surpass all the sufferings.
Ask help to family members when quitting drinking. They are the one that can fully motivate you to quit drinking.
